The hotel maintains its original charm in the decrepit yet spacious rooms with hot spring water, offering lovely garden views. The service is excellent with well-trained staff providing helpful advice and unexpected gestures. The location, though not the best at first, unveils a grandness of yesteryear vibe once you arrive, perfect for exploring Hakone. The dining options are fun, offering both silver service and buffet style, though the quality could be better. Overall, a mix of positives and negatives for a memorable stay.

Staying at the hotel felt like a charming escape with its high ceilings and large bathrooms, although some mold was present. Getting lost in the creaky hallways was part of the adventure, and the view from my room overlooking the forested area where trains passed by was unique. However, the limited dining options outside the hotel due to its location could be inconvenient.

Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although a bit outdated, were beautiful with high ceilings and wood beams, providing a clean, comfortable space with a nice bathroom, good amenities, and cozy beds. However, the service was a bit rude and seemed stressed, although they were efficient and ready to assist. The location was not very walkable, but charming once you arrived, offering a unique experience by a cute little railway and the very classy bar. The dining options were limited and overpriced, with only basic choices available, although the organic vegetables were a nice touch.

The hotel is located in stunning traditional Japanese gardens in the mountain region of Miyanoshita, offering great hiking trails and spectacular views all around. The rooms are spacious and come with a variety of amenities, although being far from reception may not be ideal. The service is generally exceptional, with attentive staff, yet there were isolated incidents of rudeness noted. The dining options offer a mix of Asian, American, and European dishes, with some unexpected choices like tomato soup, yet the pricing may be a bit on the higher side. The location's beauty and convenient access to various sites make it a great place to visit, although limited off-site dining options could be a drawback.

The hotel's rooms are spacious and well-appointed, offering a comfortable stay with good amenities and nice bathrooms. However, the worn-out appearance might not suit everyone's taste. The service was extremely polite and attentive, making the stay quite pleasant. The location is excellent for exploring the Hakone region, convenient for access to transportation and nearby attractions. The dining experience, with its special multi-course meals, can be a highlight for some but may not cater to all palates.

The hotel offers incredibly spacious rooms, which might feel like time capsules from the 70s or earlier. While the rooms are huge even by American standards, they do show their age. The service is top-notch, with staff going the extra mile to ensure a delightful stay. The location is excellent for exploring iconic attractions like Fuji Mountain, but some areas are in need of modernization. The dining experience can be pricey and not as elaborate as expected. Overall, a comfortable stay with a mix of dated charm and outstanding service.

My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were very spacious, modern, and spotless, perfect for a family with its ample size, although they were a bit sparsely furnished in an old-fashioned western style. The service was top-notch, with extremely friendly staff who even gave us a personal tour of the rooms. The location was convenient near the Hakone cablecar and ropeway, making exploring the area a breeze. The dining experience was truly special with multi-course meals beautifully presented. However, the hotel facilities were limited in variety. Overall, a great experience worth the price.
